Dakota Hurricanes Win Two in Two Weekends

The hockey was great at the Greendell Winter Carnival Tournament and it was topped by a great final with the Hurricanes tying the Dakota Canadians 5 - 5 in regular time and through the overtime period. When it finally came down to a shootout, the Hurricanes won the gold medal.
The Hurricanes followed it up this week at the Gateway Winter Carnival Tournament finishing today with a 5 - 0 win over the Brandon Thrashers to take a second gold medal in a week.
The team staff is coaches Chris Szun, Brent Yanchishyn, and Rob Friesen with manager Bonnie Lawson.
